My little friend Charlie here has been here for my Advanced Obedience and socialization.  He is a bit of a nervous nelly but he's finding his way & coming out of his shell beautifully! He should be ready to show his family his new skills next week!

November's Trainees!!

These little cuties are Peekaboo & Pioneer. They are 4 month old English Setters.  They are here for Advanced Obedience.  Don't let their cute looks fool you; they are giving me a run for my money :) Separated they great but together they try to destroy & conquer....so to speak.  They have completed their basic obedience thus far & we have started their off leash work and working on their distraction proofing.  More updates on these cutie pies to come! 

Belle & Loulou are 5 & 6 months old. They are here for my Advanced Obedience as well. They are doing wonderful in their progression with training but need a little more work with their distractions & holding their commands.  Peekaboo & Pio are their best friends and I can always find these 4 getting into mischief :-)

The Next Generation!

These beautiful pups are my service pups in training and Obedience trainee Indy.  They are between the ages of 5-6 months & are working their way through their obedience right now before they start being trained for their specific job.

Finn and All His Sass

Finn is coming close to the end of his 3 weeks of Advanced Obedience.  He is doing excellent but still has a little attitude I'd like to have resolved before he greets his family.  He has excelled in his obedience & has a huge desire to please 98% of the time..... but then there's that 2% of the time where he likes to do a little protest.  He loads up in the car & rides without a hitch now.  We can play ball and not worry about him running off to explore and ignore.  He has made tons of friends. He greets people nicely, without losing his mind. So, he might be well on his way to do therapy work with his mom after all!

Peanut Detector Lily-Belle

Service dog in training, Lily-Belle, is coming along nicely.  In just a few more weeks she will be a dual purpose Service K9 for her little girl, Meghan.  She will be a seizure companion as well as a peanut detection K9.  Meghan and Lily will be featured in the Suwanee Newspaper this month to share their wonderful story.

Marley Is Home

Marley is home!! She did great.  We still have a little to work on with her family but she is well on her way to filling those big shoes her sister before her left behind!

 This sweet face is Charlie.  A one year old Hound/Lab/Pitt Mix.  He is a rescue that has been with me for a few months learning his manners and completing my Advanced Obedience!!  He needs an active owner with a yard.  He needs an owner that can maintain his high need for structure & discipline as well as love.  He is good with kids, cats that are used to dogs, & dogs that aren't challenging.  He is crate trained but still a little too puppy & full of mischief to be left unattended in the house.  He loves to ride in the car and meet new people.  He is a very friendly guy but again he needs the right kind of owner.  When he came to me he was a little too big for his britches and lacked any respect for people or other animals. He is available with an adoption fee which includes training for his new owner. Happy New Year!!

It's the New Year and we have a brand new batch of trainees!!  I am so excited to share their stories!!  My apologies ahead of time.  I am having problems uploading images to the site so you'll have to check out Facebook for pictures of my trainees!


MARLEY -
Marley is a beautiful 6 month old Golden Retriever pup that is definitely name worthy ;o)  She should have been named "Pistol" because that she is.  She is fully of sassy but as sweet as they come.  She is here for the Advanced Obedience.  She is about 14 days into her program and doing very well with the normal hiccups along the way.  She has completed all her Basic Commands - heeling with an automatic sit when we stop, her sit-stay, down at my side, down-stay, come with an automatic sit when she gets to me and all with hand signals.  She has also learned her "place" command which she loves because she gets to be a lazy girl & chew her bone!  Marley's best friend is Murphy a 5 year old yellow Lab & Tuggs, a 2 year old American Bulldog.

TUGGS - 
Tuggs aka Marley's boyfriend is a 2 year old American Bulldog who is here for the Advanced Obedience as well.  Although I'm moving at a slower pace with him he is doing great.  He was a little too big for his britches towards other dogs when on the leash but is now a super friendly, sweet guy I knew him to be, all the time!!  He also is about 2 weeks into his training and has a little over a week to go to get caught up on his curriculum for his program.  His favorite part of the day is riding in the car to go work his obedience in a public place and nap time!! He loves laying in the sun in the yard :o)

FINN - 
Finn is a 6 month old Australian Shepherd pup that is FULL of energy!!  Actually, that may be an understatement.  He is here for the Advanced Obedience.  He is making me work hard for the money.  He doesn't take no for an answer without something to say about it back.  We are working this week to get through the Basic obedience commands and then we'll be moving onto his off leash work.  Finn is learning his proper puppy etiquette from the older, learned dogs ;o)  I think he's sweet for Bernice, one of my regular boarders.  She is a 3 year old Boxer mix ;o)
